The Charity Celebrity Golf Classic is managed by the CCGC Committee for the purpose of generating funds to support two local charities chosen by the CCGC Committee each year. This allows a group of business people to support local charities, have fun and help those in the communities that they do business in. The CCGC Committee then gives back to its communities through supporting those charities that exemplify their goals and responsibilities.
In 2010 the CCGC Committee chose the YAARAB Shrine Motor Corps, which supports the funding of the Shriners Childrens Hospitals; and Touch the Future, Inc., which supports the Disabled, Active Senior and Less Fortunate Communities in the Southeast US.
The 2009, 2010 & 2011 Charity Celebrity Golf Classic supported the Shriners Hospitals for Children, and Touch the Future, Inc., a 501(c)3 organization that supports the Disabled, Active Senior and Less Fortunate communities with Assistive Technology Equipment.

Getting setup for event work
In the past, the CCGC Committee supported the Stone Mountain Masonic Lodge #449 in Stone Mountain, GA., for its support of the Masonic Childrens Home in Macon, GA.
As the first Celebrity event of the CCGC, we were fortunate to have Jeff Foxworthy, a noted comedian and the host of FOX's "Are you as Smart as a 5th Grader?" TV game show. Many more local celebrities joined in the 2007 event along with political, radio, sports and TV personalities. We were also fortunate to have Outback Steakhouse of Stone Mountain presenting the dinner during the awards ceremony and silent auction.
It was only fitting that their first Platinum Sponsor was Wages & Sons Funeral Homes and Crematories, which was in memory of their founder, Billy K. Wages Sr. who was a member of the Stone Mountain Lodge# 449 for many years and honorarium of the Billy K. Wages, Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament. Billy died unexpectedly on October 11, 2004 and his sons, Jeff Wages and Billy K. Wages, Jr., carried on the family tradition of giving and support of local charities by their Platinum Sponsorship of the 2007 event and in memory of their father.
The Charity Celebrity Golf Classic helps 501c3 Non-Profits in Georgia and the Charities represented change every year. ALL money received, after expenses, is divided between the Charities that the event benefits.
